Pros
It pays a little better than being unemployed and helps to open the door to other companies that may be hiring
Cons
Many downsides to working at Continental! First, there has been between a 40% and 60% reduction in pay, no personal days, no sick days, and the COO insists that his name comes before everyone else's. This is a company policy! The best people who have been at Continental for a very long time (for example: 16 years, 35 years, 41 years) have either been walked out the door or have left because they can't afford to stay. The equipment is ancient and in terrible condition and tooling is in disrepair. All expenses are scrutinized. Expense checks are behind, there is no paper in the stock room, and the desks of those leaving are being scavenged for needed supplies.
