You get to work with lasers. It pays you money. I was hired for full stack web development but they needed me to do everything a marketing department required, so I learned it all on my own time and money which made me more valuable in the end.

No leadership. 5 years without any raise, or bonuses for taking on more work and responsibilities, or cost of living adjustment. No performance reviews. No employee training or HR programs. A soul crushing environment.
