- Senior level staffs, department heads and management are overall bad at managing workload and internal conflicts. They are a mess and very disorganised. The HR is often MIA and does not help to solve or is aware of frequent internal conflicts.
- Accounts and project directors are bad at their manager roles. They are not good at giving feedback and likes to gaslight you into thinking anything is ok until when it is not. Things they say often doesn’t sounds genuine and fake and sometimes can be very sexist and insulting. They are also always hard to reach when they are needed. They always give vague instructions and makes promises to clients without considering if there is any resource is available to do it. Very often high expectations is expected of you to perform.
- There is no leadership in UX and content teams. They are often defenceless against internal and external comments. They often give up to try new ways to convince the clients. They have a hard time working with the stubborn creative and tech teams.
- There is also no leadership in the tech teams and they are always overworked. Some of the devs do not push themselves to code nicer looking websites and prefer to look for the easier ways to do things. Sometimes work be constantly need to be QC.
- There is no creative director and the head is not at that level. The creative team is not very creative at all also. They seems to lack the passion at designing creative works. Their work is uninspiring and outdated. We have to force ourselves to sell their weak designs that are obviously copied from elsewhere. They like to say executives are not creative behind our backs, when most of us wondering why they are hired when we can produce more creative ideas than them.
- The project and accounts teams are often overworked. The processes used are outdated and passed down from previous generations. It doesn’t help when resources can be incorporative. Realistic KPIs can be hard to achieve also.
- Overall, the company seem to rests on the efforts and achievements of previous staffs. I feel cheated when I learned that all the superstar executives, the developers that can produce miracles, the artistic creatives and the talented UX designers all have left the company already. What is left is just an empty shell.
