Pros

To start off no company is perfect. Convr is one of the better jobs I've had. I enjoy the remote work environment. It helps balance life with my family and still allows me to connect with the team online from anywhere. Most importantly I like the leaders of the company. I can tell they are very passionate about our product and company. Having faith that the leaders will do the right thing is very important to me. Team members are able to get exposed to different aspects of the company/product since we are a smaller company. Insurtech is a great industry/space to work in! The health insurance starts right away. -no waiting period like other places.

Cons

Team members work best at Convr who are "all in" - we are a small company and rely on each other to work together to get things done on time. We can't have "that's not my job" type team members. It is okay to be that way, but it would not fit our culture. If you are someone that is interested in staying in one lane of work, we wouldn't be the right fit. Sometimes we are too direct and matter of fact when we communicate with each other. We all can work on not "what we say" but "how we say things" to each other. Can't take things personal.

Pros

A fast paced environment with a remote-first culture that encourages you to learn and grow, even when you are only starting in the industry. Working at Convr allows you to quickly dive into new techs and stacks, so the experience never grows stagnant. You get to have an impact very quickly, which is motivating (at least for me). I have always felt like my contributions are both acknowledged and appreciated. Friendly coworkers, a wide array of benefits such as unlimited PTO, and amazing work-life balance all seal the deal.

Cons

The office being in Schaumburg makes it difficult to commute if you live in the city, but this is hardly a problem thanks to the remote work culture.
