Pros
Make a difference in the lives of people with mental illness. Work in a relatively small facility where you can get to know your colleagues (those who stick around, that is).
Cons
Rapid employee turnover, high patient acuity which leads to continuous damage to facility and equipment. Parent company Acadia Healthcare overwhelmed by growth in number of hospitals owned. Unable to follow up with or support employees at the local hospital from corporate headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee.
