The difficult decision to close our Ventura facility was not taken lightly. As a family-owned and operated business, our people are very important to CoorsTek. To help ease the transition we provided continuous on-site career transitional support including: a four-month advance notification of the plant closure, a job fair with over 20 manufacturing companies to help place employees with other companies, workshops on resume writing and creating job board profiles, interviewing best practices, and a competitive severance package. We have also initiated many engagement activities and events to help keep morale up as we ramp down our operations in Ventura and many employees have expressed appreciation towards these efforts.
