Pros

Flexible work hours. Possibility in having say over the direction of your role. Free parking (though in short supply).

Cons

Micromanagement was the biggest reason for leaving. Lack of structure would more likely be a con if you're looking for any kind of feedback on performance or mentorship. Note that you need to be employed for two years before being eligible for their RRSP matching. Non-existent corporate culture.

Pros

- Remote work options, with the caveat that management is obsessed with getting people back into an office so they can feel good hovering over shoulders - Very flexible hours. Aside from meetings, it doesn't matter what time of the day you get your work done, as long as it gets done on time.

Cons

- Clear favoritism when it comes to employees - Management that pretends to care, but proceeds to ignore anything employees say that contradicts the facade that management tries to cultivate - No efforts made to address social inequities in its hiring practices - Less pay and respect for female coworkers compared to males doing the same or simpler jobs - Directionless development. Goals are set and then promptly abandoned over and over and over again - Short-sighted. Focused on one-off solutions and customer-specific hacks in the name of bolstering Sales instead of addressing core problems in the product being sold - Oppressive micromanagement for internal application users - A faceless executive tier who are completely detached from and unconcerned with the lowly minions who enable their passive income - One or two company-wide meetings every year filled with disingenuous motivational regurgitations and corpo buzzwords - Quick to fire employees instead of working things out with them, a clear indicator that we are liabilities, not assets
