Pros

Real autonomy. You're trusted to figure out your territory and build your motion without someone hovering. The product genuinely stands out and fulfills a real need, which makes outbound easier. I sell into schools, hospitals, municipalities, and corporate accounts, and the safety outcomes are tangible. Customers actually use the AI features, incidents get resolved faster, and the unified platform (cameras, access control, emergency management) is a meaningful step up from what's out there. Coming in from outside physical security, I was able to ramp through self-direction and help from teammates. Pace is very fast and decisions don't get stuck in committee.

Cons

Onboarding leans heavy on self-direction. If you need structured coaching out of the gate, you'll have to ask for it. Things move quickly, which is mostly a good thing, but it also means some processes are still being built in real time.

Pros

You have the opportunity to work with proven leaders who have built unicorns. I can see that my contribution is much greater here than at past larger orgs and a ton more freedom to run. There is a massive TAM to sell into and products launch/update consistently so solid expansion ops. The company has a huge advantage against bigger players in the industry. Everyone who works here is brilliant and they don't hire people unless they raise the bar for everyone else.

Cons

It's not a 50-60 hour work week but you have to keep your side of the street clean and be extremely accountable. You're working directly with executives who are really good at what they do and have high expectations. For some people they can't handle being that close to the fire. They aren't much different than other any other executive leadership, it's just proximity that freaks people out.
