The way the schedule works you basically work only half the year
Cons
No pay raises and the insurance steadily increases which really means your pay decreases. They make you feel like you're a problem anytime you need to go to the restroom because that means someone will have to relieve you. You have to get relief to go to the restroom, you work 12 hrs and only get one 20 min break, the staff is very unprofessional with the way they speak to each other and the detainees (verbally abusive), they don't give the detainees all the things they're supposed to have, for example, clothes. They try to intimidate you into verbally abusing the detainees. The kitchen is nasty with roaches and flies.
