Cornerstone puts on a great show, but that's all it is. Underneath, it's a bunch of acquisitions taped together. The tech stack is old and the interface is hard to use. The leadership is split into camps that don't play nice together. The teams are siloed and their execs are in competition, and even if you have a friend in another org who can help, you're discouraged from talking to them. And every couple of quarters you'll wake up to find you have another manager or your coworkers are all laid off. It's ironic that the entertainment at this year's customer appreciation conference is a mentalist.
