Pros

The boots on the ground people at CSOD are smart and generally nice people. Direct managers seem to have a firm grasp on what is needed and helping to address pain points. Your teammates are also generally helpful. You have a strong market name so you rarely talk to someone in this industry who does not know who you are. A true WFH environment for the majority of teams and decent work life balance. Baseline compensation before OTE is competitive. OTE (in theory) is also competitive.

Cons

Leadership is currently in an abysmal state and it directly has to do with C-Suite leadership and the direct hires they have made. Every year there is a significant roll back in employee benefits. Sales leadership hovers over their people to an unhealthy degree, forcing you to pester clients in a way that hurts deals far more than it helps. The sales quotas given are entirely unrealistic with the market space and state of CSOD products. And the quota structure is actively harmful to sales people trying to maximize earnings. Which has led to a totally demoralized organization. It also takes leadership 7 months to even create a quota so for more than half the year people don't know what their targets are, and when it takes that long to develop a quota and the quotas are so actively hurtful to your people its almost like you have taken extra time to inflict as much pain as possible. There are updates every quarter about how we are net profitable as well, but the way we were treated feels like a company about to go under and struggling to make money. Products are way over priced and clients know this. Recent changes to shift to 'Galaxy' did not help at all. All it did was confuse clients and effectively was just a way to re-brand the name of products. Not offering any changes to products they did not want to buy in years past. Lipstick on a pig. Internal mobility is also taking a huge hit right now. Multiple sales reps have left the company with many individuals inside the company hoping for a chance to step into those roles but sales leadership is actively prohibiting internal interviews. Same thing happening on the marketing side. A talent management company that prides itself on people growth and succession modules but not practicing what it preaches.

Thanks for sharing this; it's great to hear your positive outlook on our leadership and vision as that’s something we really care about. There can be challenges that come along with acquisitions, especially when it comes to aligning products and culture. While these decisions are made to support growth and long-term success, they don’t always feel seamless in the moment. Again, I appreciate you sharing your perspective and wish you all the best. -Carina Cortez, Chief People Officer

Pros

The people outside of leadership are great.

Cons

The experience of working here has been consistently frustrating due to ongoing instability and a lack of alignment between leadership and employees. Layoffs are a recurring theme rather than an exception, which creates an environment where people are constantly on edge and unsure of their job security. Instead of building trust, leadership decisions often seem reactive and disconnected from the reality employees are actually dealing with day to day. Compensation is another major issue. Commission plans are frequently changed throughout the year, often with little clarity or consistency. On top of that, commission payments are regularly delayed or payed incorrectly which adds unnecessary stress and undermines confidence in the company’s ability to follow through on basic financial commitments to its employees. What makes it worse is the overall lack of transparency and professionalism in how these changes are communicated. Decisions feel top-down and out of touch, with little regard for how they impact morale or day-to-day motivation. I do not know a single person who would describe themselves as truly happy or secure in their role here. The culture that results from all of this is one of uncertainty, frustration, and burnout rather than growth or stability.
