Pros
Being able to make a difference in the lives of inmates by providing them with much needed healthcare and education has been very rewarding. Also, it is an exciting environment where I have been able to sharpen my assessment skills by treating a wide range of medical conditions. Though correctional healthcare entails working with a challenging patient population, working for CorrectHealth has been one of my most rewarding experiences.
Cons
Working with inmates can be challenging at times but it has allowed me to strengthen my nursing skills by learning to better communicate with patients in order to prevent or deescalate difficult situation.
