Pros
Remote work is all I can think of. Some other teams may be better than the one I was on. There are some friendly, competent, and driven people in the company if you seek them out.
Cons
Expected to actively program 8 hours a day, every day. Management is almost non-existent. If you are starting your career, you won't find much guidance acclimating to the role. There was little mentorship and no initiative to help employees grow professionally. The remote work was isolating. Management expects a lot of communication but gives very little and seems unenthusiastic to help with any work while they try to meet their unrealistic productivity expectations. There was no way of knowing whether you were doing well or poorly even when directly asking for feedback. Outsourced labor accounts for the vast majority of the company so there are some communication challenges.
