Pros

Great place to learn about data and also how not to run a successful company.

Cons

Walked into a sales role at Cortera with promises of commission, opportunity and the possibility to “change the world of data”. Unfortunately nothing, and I mean nothing that I was initially told about the company held true. The commission structure changed constantly, which led to almost no money to be made. There’s actually not one C-level employee that could actually explain the commission structure. Point blank, that was the main issue... Attrition is unbelievable high (basically a “meat grinder”). Zero opportunity for growth within the company and waking up every morning not knowing what new lies you’ll be told to keep you there became such a constant, daily regiment that my stress levels were through the roof and sleep was non-existent. Mind blown that such a CEO can lead a company year in and year out through a rollercoaster of constant ups and downs (mostly downs) and keep his job. It’s doubtful the company will stay afloat through 2021 so this review may be in vain but if I’m able to keep even one person away from Cortera then I’ve done a great deed. Talk to any previous employee and you’ll find a reoccurring dilemma, that being, any change to the existing structure of how the company is led through operations that waver from the thought process of the CEO is immediately brought to a halt. Multiple sales managers have met their end this way.. This is how the company remains stagnant and so will your career if you decide to take a role with Cortera.

Pros

The grift continues at a company called Buxton in Texas. Check them out. It is amazing how many people that sucked all the value out of cortera found their way to Buxton. What is going on? These people are criminals of the worst kind. Watch, Buxton will be another failed company by end of 2025.

Cons

They are con-artists. All of them. Especially the CEO and CIO. They only know how to run a sham business into the ground. BE WARE
