DO NOT WORK HERE - Store Associate CosmoProf Employee Review

I can say so many cons for this company. First of, the pay is pretty low for the amount of work they make you do. They just barely raised it to 11/H recently, and that's AFTER several people complained for months to the GM about it They are ALWAYS cutting your hours. They hire handful of employees because they complain about not having enough people, but then proceed to take away those hours? Oh, and they're also time thieves. They schedule you to come in at 7:45am to open the store by 8am, HOWEVER, they expect you to come in EARLIER then that and not clock in until 7:45am. So they expect me to be there by 7:15am at least, but tell me not to clock in and just sit in the back until I can, so they don't have to pay me. If there's a rude customer, they would proceed to blame YOU for it, and then give you an orientation on how not to provoke them next time. Not only do they not pay you enough, but they also EXPECT you to put in your own money if the drawer is short, doesn't matter if you weren't the last one to use it. There's no bonuses for associates but for the managers only. No benefits, no perks. Customers are often rude, they do nothing to protect you from them, they only offer like an hour of PTO every year you work there, and get pissed at you if you don't meet the quota every night and want you to buy things to make up for it, while pocketing their bonuses. Only work here if you absolutely want to lose your will to live.
