I want to share my experience working in an environment that was deeply affected by racism and discrimination. During my time at COURY HOSPITALITY Ambassador Hotel OKC, I witnessed and encountered behavior that was not only unprofessional but harmful to many employees. The management turned a blind eye to offensive language, discriminatory practices, and microaggressions, creating a culture where marginalized groups felt undervalued and unsafe. Instances of favoritism based on race and ethnicity were evident, and opportunities for advancement were not equally available to all employees. This lack of support from leadership allowed an unhealthy and toxic work environment to persist, where employees felt uncomfortable voicing concerns or standing up for their rights. The overall work culture was damaging to both mental health and job performance, and it was clear that certain employees were treated as less than others based solely on their race. I hope this review brings attention to the need for greater accountability and change in COURY HOSPITALITY(Ambassador Hotel OKC). No one should have to work in an environment that fosters racism or discrimination, and I encourage the company to take immediate action to create a safer, more inclusive workplace.

Pros

There’s a vibe that is electric. We get to live the experience curator mindset every day. We are given the creative flexibility to do something different. Create the experience. This kind of energy matches the roar of the Oklahoma Thunder.

Doesn’t allow for set schedule.

Competitive pay, and that’s about it.

Cons

Honestly, there’s just a huge disconnect between HQ and the hotels. Lack of accountability at HQ.
