Pros

Coury Hospitality has been an incredible place to build my career over the past four years. The company truly values talent and rewards hard work with opportunities for growth. I’ve seen firsthand how leadership invests in the development of their people—whether through mentorship, exposure to high-level strategy, or trust in leadership roles. What sets Coury apart is its culture. There’s a genuine emphasis on hospitality—not just for guests, but for team members too. I’ve worked alongside some of the most passionate and driven individuals in the industry, and that energy is contagious. The company’s commitment to excellence is evident in the properties we manage and the experiences we create. In my current role, I’ve had the chance to lead a team, refine operational strategy, and help shape guest experience in a meaningful way. The autonomy and trust given to department heads is empowering, and it fosters a sense of ownership that’s rare in hospitality.

Cons

As with any fast-growing company, the pace can be demanding, and the expectations are high. There are times when support systems haven’t fully kept up with the scale of growth, especially during transitions. But feedback is generally welcomed, and improvements are often implemented quickly.

Pros

There’s a vibe that is electric. We get to live the experience curator mindset every day. We are given the creative flexibility to do something different. Create the experience. This kind of energy matches the roar of the Oklahoma Thunder.

Doesn’t allow for set schedule.

Honestly, there’s just a huge disconnect between HQ and the hotels. Lack of accountability at HQ.
