Working with the Public Health Officer was a blessing. Dr. Cuevas was an amazing leader and cared about creating a work-life balance. The other epidemiologist team members were very supportive and we were able to complete thousands of case investigations, mitigate the spread at long term care facilities, and summer education centers.

The location will wear you down if you are african american or identify as Black. You will feel like an outcast, as there were not many of us working at the office or in the town,

Management is horrendous, absolutely the worst I have ever encountered. This company is very 'top heavy' in the sense that the managers get paid well while those who aren't get the shaft. You will never receive a raise while at this company, some employees who have been there for 5+ years have never once received a raise while management of course does. Managers also receive profit share, so when the company does well, they get bonuses. Because of this, they never like to spend money on essentials to make the job easier or actually get things done. When they spend more money, that cuts into their profits making their bonuses less. Avoid working for this company by all means, they treat their employees like crap. They fired a warehouse employee because of a dry month, the following month business picked back up and they called this employee asking to bring them back on. You will regret working here, avoid at all costs.
