Pros

Manager is a really good guy Office is in a good area

Cons

The pay is $16/hr, which is far too low for the amount of responsibility, precision, and mental load this job requires. HR is extremely rigid during onboarding and background verification, to a point that feels unnecessarily accusatory for an entry-level role. Even when documentation is provided, the process felt hostile rather than professional. This is a high-volume production environment with constant pressure. Morale is very low and turnover is extremely high. Everyone is overwhelmed, and that stress spills over into how coworkers speak to each other. The environment is tense and emotionally draining. The actual job is nothing like what the posting implies. It is nonstop document processing with multiple complex steps per batch, constant interruptions, and heavy multitasking. You’re expected to handle scanning, filing, pulling documents for other departments, responding immediately to requests, and tracking everything you do simultaneously. There is no slowdown at any point in the day. Training was nonexistent. I repeatedly asked for help through emails, messages, and in person. For weeks I was given only the most basic tasks, then suddenly thrown into handling full responsibilities with almost no guidance. I was expected to perform multiple processes after being shown once. My coworkers, not management or my team lead, were the only reason I survived as long as I did. Even long-term employees openly admitted they were confused by the filing system and workflow. I was told that people who had been there for years still didn’t fully understand where things go. That does not inspire confidence, especially when mistakes fall on newer employees. The micromanagement is extreme. You are required to track every task you do multiple ways: manual logs, task counts, and time tracking down to the second. Your entire day must total exactly 8 hours and 30 minutes. I have worked since 2015 and have never experienced this level of surveillance and pressure in any job. Breaks and policies were poorly communicated. I didn’t even learn I was entitled to two 15-minute breaks until my third week. Time off is heavily restricted, and the benefits are not affordable for the pay. Turnover was treated as normal. Management was aware of the workload issues and morale problems but failed to meaningfully improve conditions. Covius places massive operational demands on its employees while offering very little pay, support, or investment in their success. I do not recommend the Document Management Associate role or this company to anyone. The job is far more stressful and demanding than the posting suggests, and the compensation does not come close to matching what is required. I didn't even last a month.
