Pros

Good tech devices and support, great people in editorial and production, good benefits, great PTO and holiday package (if you can use it all).

Cons

Demanding employees back into the office but not enforcing rule on all departments equally, "leadership team" doesn't have confidence in CEO and speak openly about it in areas where employees can hear them, far too many managers, directors micro-manage areas below the managers that they oversee, driving toward 'digital first' business model and pushing readers to digital subscriptions without a plan of how to replace print advertising revenue, circulation numbers are far below what is reported to advertisers, raises are called merit reviews but are not based on performance and are never in line with the standard of living increase, currently in the process of transitioning the production to an outside company with all their production people in India and the Phillipines and using the current prodution team to train their replacements. Employee manual is regularly updated in ways to favor the company over the employees (no PTO payout if resigned with notice and they charge for any PTO used that wasn't accrued yet), work-life balance is proclaimed as important by ownership but is not supported by all directors across the company.

Pros

Strong Brand: Pensions & Investments remains a highly respected and trusted name in institutional financial media.Valuable Data: The underlying proprietary data and research products are high-quality and genuinely sought after by major institutions. Colleagues: The day-to-day editorial and sales teams are incredibly dedicated professionals who care about the product.

Cons

Short-Sighted Restructuring: In late 2025, management aggressively cut experienced, human-led enterprise sales and account management teams in a bid to force a "digital transformation" and pivot to AI/automation. Complete Operational Breakdown: The reality of this pivot is a mess. By replacing dedicated human contact points with generic support inboxes and broken "self-service" portals, high-value corporate clients are being completely ignored. Systemic Carelessness: Months after the layoffs, former employees are still receiving voicemails from furious institutional clients who cannot get a hold of anyone at the company. CRM records and phone lines were left unmanaged and orphaned. Flawed Strategy: Management optimized for internal cost-cutting without considering client retention. Enterprise clients pay premium prices for white-glove service, not a black-hole automated ticket queue.
