Pros
Decent people to work with in production. Leaving makes me feel like I'm leaving an extended family. Quite a few people are lifers, meaning they've been there quite some time and do not plan on leaving. Considering the location, it benefits the very small town having this company there as far a employment goes.
Cons
Horrible managers and corporate ideals. Honestly I thought I went backwards in time coming to work there. Many, many things they do not tell you up front when selling the job to you. Once your in, it becomes evident very quickly how the corporate culture is. Their handling of Covid had been the worse I've seen. The policies are different depending on who you are, who you ask, etc. The company doesnt care about your health, no sick time or time off for doctor visits or anything else, yet they consistently send emails about signing up for various health things (to sell your personal info) and calls many times to your personal phone on trying to get you to be more healthy, in order to drive the cost of medical down. Medical coverage is horrible. I no longer work there and still get calls. Worse I've seen compared to other places. Much back stabbing in the front offices, engineering is extremely poor at wanting to support production with designs and product. Extremely top heavy when it comes to managers , more people sitting at desk or working from home staring at a computer screen than there are people to do the actual physical work. No one is open to try anything different, and verbal or mental abuse is extremely high. Quite a few have experted this, surprised its allowed in this day and age but its glanced over by management because it's difficult to get anyone to want to work there.
