Pros
The old Crate&Barrel The old legendary customer service The old product The old collaborative spirit My former colleagues forced out for a tiny bump in profit
Cons
Where do you start? In my particular case, the incompetent, paranoid not especially talented store manager in Roseville, CA. This manager has committed such blatant HR no, no's and STILL has her position. She is that perfect example of a mid-manager/bad baby sitter. If the idea does not come from her feeble mind, it is dismissed. She rotates the same 6 toxic morons around, and leaves NO opportunity for someone who really knows how to lead and inspire others to excel. What is particularly humorous, is this same 6 toxic morons would sell her down the river in a heart beat!! But, the real bad guy in this whole scenario is the regionals who have protected her for years. It sends a clear message, we like mediocre and we support this wholeheartedly, and if you do not like it, get out! And many have, and are now doing AMAZING things, for companies that value true collaboration and loyalty. I equate it to being abused, you do not know how abused you are until you are out of the situation.
