Pros

Laid back environment Cool coworkers depending on team Casual dress Occasional work from home.

Cons

There seems to be way too much effort and expectation for not much reward. Especially within IT. It feels understaffed, with large projects and aggressive deadlines. People bust their butts to try to meet these expectations. People get woken up in the middle of the night for production support, or get called on weekends (they never tell you about on call during the interview, make sure to ask). People spend so much extra time and energy only to get a message or an email simply saying "thanks". It feels very insulting and like you're only getting a pat on the back. The company puts on occasional socials where there is free drinks and appetizers, but instead of spending all that money on that stuff, why not take that money and give out bonuses? A nice christmas bonus to show associates that their effort didn't go unnoticed. At the end of the day, everyone works for a paycheck so that they can support themselves and their families. No one cares about social events at work, but extra compensation always has the greater value. The only people who get bonuses at this company are higher ups and management. Everyone else doesn't seem to matter. Raises are also a joke. Aren't even in line with inflation. Again, all these extra hours being put in, disrupting your family and personal life to be on call or getting woken up in the middle of the night, for what gain? So you can just get told "thanks" with an occasional appetizer? The company also has an outdated work from home policy. There should be work from home once a week, especially fridays. No one seems to be in the office on friday anyways.

Pros

The only saving grace is the people I've worked with . Other than that I'd leave a negative star if I could.

Cons

The CEO Janet Hayes has taken away additional employee discounts . At a certain time of the year we used to get an additional 15% off on top of our regular discounts. GONE! If an in store customer would like to have an item that ships directly from the vendor we offer free shipping . If an employee would like to do the same not only do we have to pay for shipping but our discounts can no longer be applied . How low can you go? What a great way to motivate the employees and show us all that we are just numbers and you could care less about us . This company doesn't care about it's workers and I wouldn't tell someone I don't like to work there. Every location is experiencing high turnover as management is typically incompetent and focuses on all the wrong things. Training is laughable and most designers are thrown to the wolves with high expectations after a few videos . You can not make as much as advertised so don't waste your time. Most don't stick around more than 3-6 months . You have to have open availability and they don't care if you go to church or need family time . There will be no work life balance . Constant updates are always required . What are you selling ? What are your future sales ? How many cards have you opened or how many emails can you capture? How many in home visits have you made ? Speaking of which did you know they send women to in home visits by themselves without vetting clients in the store first ? Another huge potential lawsuit on the horizon.
