Pros

Company culture and flexible work schedule used to be the biggest pros

Cons

The problem employees are having are not with the RTO policy itself, but with how rigid and inflexible the company is being regarding its policy. I've worked in 2 different hybrid environments prior to working at Credibly, where managers were allowed to approve a different day to come in during the week if an employee is sick, has an appointment, etc. Credibly is not even allowing employees to switch an in-office day if they are ill or if it makes more economical sense to work from home that day and go in another day. We get "20" excused remote days instead, which is very little when you add up coming in a minimum of 3 days a week, especially if you have kids. All employees are asking for is the life/work balance this company claims to care all about, and that Credibly show a little appreciation and flexibility towards the employees that continue to help break company records (and who did so when working from home).

Pros

I have been a developer at Credibly for over a year, and overall, it is a very solid place to build a career in Fintech. It has a high-growth, "startup-y" feel, but with the stability of a profitable company. Pros: Modern Tech Stack: Engineering is currently in a technology revitalization phase, moving toward modern, relevant tech like Python APIs, React, and robust AWS services (DynamoDB). Great Culture & People: The engineering culture is collaborative and supportive. Coworkers are smart, motivated, and always willing to help. Leadership Accessibility: The leadership team is transparent and approachable, with weekly company-wide meetings where you can ask questions directly. Opportunities for Growth: There is room to learn and grow, especially if you are proactive about taking on new challenges.

Cons

Mandatory RTO Policy: The main downside is the recent, rigid return-to-office mandate requiring 3 days a week in the Southfield, MI office. There is little flexibility allowed for switching days, even if you are ill.

Pros

-Some career growth to a point -I like my coworkers -Although not perfect, my manager really seems like they care about our team and my career -Hybrid work from home. At least the RTO is not 5 days a week

Cons

-Low pay, even for management -Lack of career growth -Out of touch executives -Nothing is done regarding feedback -Sudden, forced, and inflexible RTO for no reason. 'Collaboration' was used by the executives to defend RTO, but a lot of people in office do not interact with one another. Nothing is being done in office that cannot be done at home. -Strong push of AI on employees and recent meetings reflect a goal to replace human underwriters with AI in the near future.
