Pros
1. In the beginning, as a startup, it was exciting to work with the company and build the product and many things were structured even thought it was a small startup. 2. product is exciting to work with, got many opportunities to work with different people and technology and improve my skills. 3. Tech Team culture is good, and the tech manager/cto of the company is a really good mentor who will guide you on how to improve, both personally and professionally.
Cons
Note - below points will contradict the points mentioned in pros as the company has shifted their vision/culture and made a huge change in their policy. 1. Over the year, i have witnessed the change in company's approach and handling of employee. Many employee from different departments have been laid off in a single day without any prior notice. HR is enforcing corporate culture/policy related to everything but want employees to work overtime as in a startup. it has become a very bad combination of corporate policy and startups work pressure. 2. Since being a startup, it needed to create the product from scratch, and i/team have given their all time and energy to create the product and get it successful in the market but my/our work never got acknowledged which led to poor KPI score which directly affected the appraisal. Even after bad consecutive bad appraisal, they expected the employees to put their all even their personal time to work 3. Due to above 2 points, it became a toxic environment to work even thought we got good colleagues to work with which made it bearable to work here. 4. Company delayed 2024 appraisal and i even missed on my variable pay which i/others should have gotten in April 24. So if you are thinking joining the company, this is probably not the best time for that. 5. Head HR attitude towards us and any queries we raised were bad, due to their attitude and apathetic nature. They wont even accept any feedback and give unprofessional response.
