Pros
When you first get on at CCD you will be force fed the koolade and believe the opportunities are there. It will seem great at first. Once the newness wears off and you can see past the ra-ra BS the only positives will be the employee beer sales, pub days and Co workers.
Cons
Where do I begin...First off I spent way to many years there and I was not a job hopping millennial who didn't get my way and write a negative review. I was promoted multiple times and worked in a couple different departments. Also I was not fired or left on bad terms. I simply found something better for myself and my family...especially when I realized who crescent crown really was. Working at CCD was what I equate to working for the mafia. As long as you are a good earner you are taken care of, not financially, instead it's promoted or a halo effect placed on you by management. But once you are in... there's no getting out. CCD will do anything they can to pay people as little as possible. For most guys I new it took a supplier trying to hire them to get CCD to try and pay them more. That's when CCD would even let the supplier talk to them. Yes, that's right CCD will prevent people from being able to interview at a supplier just because they want to keep that person. CCD has a policy that requires a company like millercoors to get approval from one of the other executives to even ask you if you are interested in interviewing for one of their open positions. There are dozens of people that have been screwed over by CCD on this that can verify it. This has to be illegal but proving it might be difficult and I am no attorney. If you don't believe me that CCD will do anything they can to not pay you ask any sales rep what they think. Preferably try to ask one that's been there longer than 2 years... if you can find one since turnover is so high. I have another GREAT example of CCD trying to not pay their people that happened to me, but giving those details will expose who wrote this to management...and they scare me. Remember it's like working for the mafia. They won't make me swim with the fishes but I know they have tried to ruin careers before, just because they couldn't win or get their way over an employee. Okay maybe your not going into sales but instead operations. Don't bother, Hensley is CCDs biggest competitor and pays better in every aspect of operations except warehouse. CCD turned into the corporate feel from family oriented because of the ops management group, I like to call them the EFFICIENCY MACHINE. Here's another sad part, they would be so proud to be called that. The administration group didn't seem that bad but they to had decent turn over. Also some of my friends in that group had there frustrations as well and are just waiting for something better to come along. Now for the executive group on the sales side. They are professional sales people and can get along with anyone. They are also very well spoken and likeable, but do not be fooled, they will leave you on the side of the road if it means selling one more case of beer! Oh and they also have egos that can fill a stadium. The ego is typically the key for people when they go from liking them to hating them. I also never trusted them and that feeling is shared throughout most of the company, and even with some of their fellow executives. Save yourself the frustrations or heartache and don't work here. If you want to work in the beer Business, work for a supplier.
