Pros
The HR dept is really great at onboarding, but once in, you're on your own. It's a great place to work if you want to show up for a paycheck and feel like a cog in a poorly-built pollution machine.
Cons
-Outdated equipment/instruments -Below average industry salaries (also PhD, MS, BS all paid at virtually same at entry) -Overworked and unresponsive coworkers -Falling apart facility (trashcans collecting rainwater in multiple buildings) -British colony mindset (only male British citizens can advance meaningfully- see Exec Board for proof) -Data management issues (no LIMS) -Performative work (quota system for reporting other workers) -Fake environmentalism (Google for active court cases trying to fight local oversight) -No leadership initiatives to rectify issues but lots of pretending to listen
