Pros
Prior to this job, I had worked for some good companies but had never felt appreciated and had a very poor work/life balance, as I was always working (or thinking about work). At Crosspoint, I know that my efforts are truly appreciated AND I get to see my family! My top "pros" for Crosspoint are: 1. Supportive - Everyone has an open-door policy so it is very easy to ask for help, brainstorm ideas, and get the support needed in a very timely manner. I am trusted to work independently, but when I need some extra support there is always someone available. 2. Company Culture - There is a great sense of family at Crosspoint. The principals have strong family values that carry over onto the company. Respect, teamwork, trust, and flexibility are all key components within the company. And the large conference room is used every lunch hour for anyone and everyone to come together for lunch, which is great for team building. 3. Career Growth – They encourage professional growth through collaborating on various projects, attending industry conventions and seminars, as well as exposure to all facets of the industry including leasing, construction, operations, accounting, etc. I continue to learn at this job on a regular basis. 4. Fun! – Crosspoint makes coming to work fun again. There are definitely times of stress and looming deadlines, but at the end of the day I always leave with a smile.
Cons
Small companies aren't for everyone. You must be self-motivated and a team player, and open to constructive criticism.
