Pros

Very competitive salary for this area. Do not know how this will be after Deaconess of Evansville take over.

Cons

Poor management and lack basic communication skills. Very high turnover in management and no one knows their job specifications in management and if they do ( the few), they work long and hard to pick up the slack.

Pros

Team members at Crossroads Community Hospital facilities are friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive. When they say the are a community hospital, they really mean it. They support the local Chamber of Commerce and many of the community organizations in our region. Once you are an employee at Crossroads Community Hospital, you have a lot of opportunities, to learn, to grow, and to take the next step in your career.

Cons

Depending on what you do, there are positives and negatives in every company and at every level. I look at it like a roller coaster, some days are up and some are down, but it's always going to be exciting so just enjoy the ride.

Pros

Decent pay for the job. Hospital benefits great. Decent fellow staff that keep getting chased off. ( not a pro)

Cons

I never received any bonuses or a substantial raise in the time I worked there. You are not a valued member of the team if you are anything other than Dr. or RN. Ancillary departments just come in, do your job, and keep your mouth shut. I was actually told that very thing at one point by the ex-CEO "you are not as necessary as the RN's" he was referring to why we didn't get a hospital wide bonus and why they gave nurses $3.00 night shift diff but left us unimportant ancillary departments at $1.25. Even though we are all there on the same shift at night. There is no room for advancement. Unless you're in the click. The only reason I stayed as long as I did is because of the hospital benefits. Loyalty and longevity and seniority doesn't mean a thing to this company so if you think you can put in your time here and move up. Think again.
