Pros
Teachers are kind, hardworking, and genuinely committed to the mission.
Cons
The mission of this organization is meaningful, but the management culture makes it extremely difficult to work here. Staff face constant micromanagement and a clear lack of trust. Leadership frequently communicates issues publicly instead of privately, and it is not uncommon to hear leadership speak negatively about employees in shared spaces, which creates a tense and uncomfortable environment.
Compensation is not competitive, and processes around pay and reimbursements are inconsistent, with delays that add unnecessary stress. Benefits are minimal, and PTO is very limited compared to industry standards. Employees are often expected to work weekends without overtime pay, which contributes to burnout.
There is little to no opportunity for career growth, and leadership does not seem interested in new ideas or employee input. Communication is often unprofessional, including raised voices and public criticism. Overall, the environment feels disrespectful and incredibly toxic, making it difficult for employees to do their jobs effectively or feel supported.
