Concentration of power - the actual decision making stops once you get five desks away from Tom's, though this has gotten much much better in the last six months, specifically in engineering. HR is terrifying - a retaliatory fire seems more likely than any positive resolution for problems brought up outside of anonymous forms (which themselves are routinely ignored and/or not addressed).
