Pros

Flexible scheduling, Some of the managers are as good as you can get, if you are looking for experience and plan to move on in a few yrs it's a great place. Some of the departments have great managers who will treat you like family.

Cons

Company is on the decline and has been for past 10+ years. The top leadership has become top heavy. Some departments are as good as they get and you will be treated like family. Others are run more like cast systems. If you don't have a PE behind your name your are just a means to an end as far as top management is concerned. Other reviews have mentioned women should beware. I agree with this especially if you are working in the corporate office. Some of their best people have left or have given up. Middle managers are just whipping posts for the lack of leadership from the top. Company is ESOP which is great if you have been there 20+ years, means almost nothing to younger staff( think Pyramid scheme). Pay increases are hard to come by and usually are just cost of living because most of the extra cash is dumped to ESOP. Top share holders get tens of thousands of dollars per year in company stock. If you have been their less than 10 yrs you get a fraction. Remember, if you are interviewing you will be sold sunshine and rainbows. You will be told you will likely get a raise after your probationary period is up. This will only happen if you demand it. I stayed too long, I got some great experience but I would have been much better off taking that experience and leaving after 6 to 8 years.

Pros

Heavily incentivized to work for 30+ years, will generate a healthy retirement portfolio

Cons

Poor management, little to no ability to advance in your career. yearly reviews get skipped and dropped. Pay increases are capped laughably low. Only 2 weeks PTO, no paid maternity leave, health insurance is disgustingly bad.
