Pros

I am going to try not to be biased because I am a trainer for this company, but there are a lot of great reasons to work for CubeSmart. This company is customer service. The company reputation and rapid growth are the main results for great customer service. You get to meet lots of new people, build long lasting relationships with co workers and customers, you get the benefit of working in an office and outside on property, because of the rapid growth the opportunity to climb the ladder is there, and there is always ways to make extra money based on your performance. You will be a sales person. The goal is to sell storage like you are selling a house. A real esate agent doesn't get the big money unless they get the sale...its the same concept at CubeSmart.

Cons

Working in property management, it is what you make it. Some people take advantage of the independence we get as managers and do not take ownership of their properties. This job is NOT hard, at all! You just have to be on top of your work, get it done and then you might have down time depending on how your store pace. It is an on call 24/7 job, however the better you take care of your property and customers, you shouldn't be getting too many calls after hours. There are always issues with abandoned furniture that we are responsible for getting rid of, but big projects like that you should never have to do alone. I think one thing to consider while reading these reviews is that people are lazy. Most people my age (20-30) just don't know the meaning of "hard work". Most who apply at CubeSmart think that it is just an office job. IT IS NOT. BUT all aspects of the job are pretty easy.

Pros

Some freedom. Do it yourself. Good pay if you can hustle them into it.

Cons

The turn over is crazy I had 5 bosses in 6 years and changed districts more than I can count. The bosses all have there own way of doing things but then lie and hide behind it’s not my way it’s cubesmart way. No help from corporate. The turn over for dms alone is a red flag. Backwords systems. Same meetings every week to waste your time. Will fight you on fixing property issues. Have to explain to multiple different managers. Have your good coworkers overworked while letting toxic people and environments thrive.
