You learn many different skills in customer service, maintenance, and sales which can be challenging and exciting. There are opportunities for growth. The culture within the company is all inclusive and family oriented. For the most part you make your own projects and set your own goals which can be empowering. There is paid vacation, sick pay, 401k that is company matched, family leave, medical, dental. Training is meant to be thorough with follow ups with the teammates. There is an open door policy. The company continues to grow. There is opportunity to transfer from within the company. There is a free apartment for some facilities. Prices are competitive and access hours to facilities are long which makes it easier to sale.
Cons
They offer lower pay than other storage companies. Sometimes the way things are done can change depending on the district manager and also on the legal department who can be back and forth a lot. The company itself is not gaining in revenue as much as comparable competitors. The deductible on the health insurance makes it not worth it at all. There can be favoritism depending on which DM you get. There can also be micro-managing depending on which DM you get. Pay raises are non-negotiable and miniscule.
