Pros
- Okay to get some experience at
- You get a slim chance to work on some genuinely amazing projects
- Trackers/animators/grunt workers are a great bunch of people
- Starting salary isn't the worst out there (but is far from the best)
Cons
- Almost constant overtime that may or may not be comped
- Mental health advisors only advise you to get better so you don't tank their frame output, no actual care about your mental well being in there at all
- Producers are overworked and as a result can be a nightmare to work with
- Communication along the pipeline is TERRIBLE
- Make way too many promises to the client and let and trackers/animators pick up the slack, many hand ins are down to the wire
- REALLY dodgy sales tactics
- You're a cog in the machine; true of many places, but unless you hold a select few positions, you don't feel valued at all
