Pros

It is nice that the position allows you to be paid the next day for work, but that can be inconvenient if you don't work full time. Since you are essentially paid exclusively in cash, it does require that you go to the restaurant to collect your money. The menu is fairly small and easy to learn, and the training required for the job is relatively straightforward. And most of the people you work with are genuinely amazing and everyone helps one another thorugh the shifts.

Cons

The work schedule can be grueling. The hours are long and very intensive, and often it does not feel worth what is received in return for your labor. Additionally, management generally feels very secretive and conniving, with no clear idea as to what they expect beyond what is laid out in the employee handbook. I have also seen employees being asked to perform tasks that are way beyond the description of their position. They may be asked to perform certain tasks that would typically require a trained specialist to complete, but to save money. One time, I saw the general manager tell a younger employee to come in and complete a very risky job off the clock, and allegedly prefaced that the employee would be paid "if the job was done well". After having completed the task, the manager told the employee that things looked worse after he had done the job. I am not sure if the employee got paid for the work. Favoritism also runs rampant throughout the company. While cliques form naturally in a workplace, the way they have taken shape at this location has been to the detriment of the working environment. There are clear conflicts of interest that barricade others from an equal working environment. Those who are on a manager's "good side" are allowed to go home early or more on time than someone who they may not like as much. In my personal experience, I feel that I work incredibly hard, but the resulting feedback from one particular manager has been exclusively negative criticism. I have spent a fairly long time with the company, given the incredibly high turnover rate, but unlike most any other job where I would feel some level of professional progression, getting a promotion feels almost lethargic. Additionally, the rhyme and reason for who they promote is disingenuous and demonstrates more of the favoritism that is prevalent throughout the management team. Overall, the work is grueling, but it is manageable. The consensus for this position is that you will be overworked and underpaid, but if you manage to push through that and get a promotion, the work becomes more worthwhile.
