Pros

Free lunch and snack. Amazing coworkers. High pay rate. Health insurance.

Cons

Everything else. Higher management doesn't have a clue what actually goes on in lab operations. The rules and policies they keep changing and implementing are clunky and ineffective. They would know that if they observed how lab ops worked, but they have a holier-than-thou mindset where lab ops are treated as the lowest on the ladder. They over-hired during the holiday peak and now since they are pivoting to vaccinations, had laid off half of the lab ops staff in mid-March. They broke the news in the guise of a town hall meeting. This company does not value loyalty or hard work, because they laid off some people who had been there since the beginning of covid testing. There were also pay issues especially during the holiday season where people are not paid the correct amount. HR/benefits kept promising a 401K (no matching) since the start of the year, but only implemented it after the lay-off. There is no room for advancement because the company would rather hire externally than internally. Nepotism is incredibly rampant and many people let their personal feelings dictate how they do things. This company is really an unprofessional mess. If anyone is considering working here with an hourly pay rate, don't get comfortable and expect that job to last, take whatever management promises you with a grain of salt. Make what you can from that job, and get out when another opportunity comes along.

Curative, Inc. Response

Thank you for sharing and glad to hear you enjoy the perks of the job. Every member of the team is valued and the contributions made towards eradicating Covid-19 are greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, the pandemic is unpredictable, and we have had to react as new information is released and needs are defined. When reduced hours or layoffs are necessary, we have strived to make the transition as smooth as possible inclusive of extending additional compensation and benefits to those affected, when possible. 2020-2021 has brought unexpected changes to many companies and often required rapid shifts as new guidance is released. Some of it is growing pains, some of it is changes in mandates. Curative was founded during the pandemic, and we are constantly growing, changing, and adapting to be better.

Pros

-Some people in the company will have your back and give you a chance to show your skills -Some of the people here are very helpful(someone a lower level than me who probably should have been my level helped me so much)

Cons

-They promote negative competitions -You get a gift card like once a year and they tax it on your next check -Once we noticed salaried employees should get unlimited PTO across the company's policy; we all banded together- the loophole was to make us all hourly instead of giving us what the company offered for salary employees which they made us salary in 2 weeks after we fought the policy -The company makes many promises to everyone but can't keep it -CNs are what keeps this company afloat yet treated like slums -They hire and promote their friends in a short time while others fight for growth(not related to me but I have seen and heard some of the worse things from people who want to move up in this company. I wouldn't even dare try because they are becoming TOXIC) -They often use a group of their best employees for different things but never reward or promote them
