Pros
The company once committed to a core set of values that upheld integrity, humility, and transparency at every level. These values made Curriculum Associates a great place to work a few years ago. Leaders grounded their efforts in ensuring entry level employees felt appreciated, were treated as professionals, and had opportunities to grow their skill sets. That positivity spread and colleagues were eager to go above and beyond to support each-other and provide optimal service to educators. Curriculum Associates definitely WAS a top employer to work for in the past.
Cons
Sadly, strong managers were replaced with elitists who value status, their egos, and their own career ambitions over that of supporting their teams. The lack of authenticity and overall toxicity has seeped into the fabric of the company culture and fundamentally cracked the once solid foundation that put CA above the rest. The new management mantra seems to be “Rules for thee but none for me” and it’s followed by gaslighting, retaliation, favoritism, and a complete lack of accountability to the teams they are meant to support. The distrust between teams and management is the highest I’ve seen in my tenure.
