Pros

If you ask anyone that has worked at Curve in CX what they like about the role, they will tell you it's the people. We made an excellent, supportive, hard working team. Unfortunately, the brainless execs got involved and most of the team left.

Cons

Curve customers will be aware that waiting times for support are incredibly bad. This is because those in charge at Curve do not support their CX team. They interfere with training, with targets, trying to make everything more and more condensed until the customer experience is a bad one. They push more and more features which will be an embarrassing failure and not work, causing even more backlog for the CX team as customers get in touch to complain. We were made to do what they called a 'Blitz' where we worked for 60 hours in the office for a week. We pulled together as a team and worked really hard, clearing the backlog. Rather than congratulating us or offering any positive words, we were then told that our targets have vastly increased and if we didn't meet the targets we would lose our jobs. They try to motivate you using fear. The millionaire execs are so out of touch they believe this is a normal way to manage people. It truly is a shame, I enjoyed my team but they frightened us. Curve is a place where the childish CEO, the genuinely ridiculous COO and other leads want everyone to hear their ideas, their theories, to really make sure the business is communicating well. This would be fine, but unfortunately they've shot themselves in the foot by having the personalities of donuts and running the business like a group of kids with a shiny new toy. Everybody at this company is laughing at them. But what do they themselves say about working at Curve? The COO once said that if you want to have a good work/life balance, you shouldn't be working at Curve and should quit now. When the CEO was visiting our office, he told us he was there to support us. I think he spent about 5 minutes actually in our office room with us whilst we were not allowed to move around and work in different areas. He even claimed to be just like us because of the clothes he was wearing...designer jeans and a gilet and his own custom Curve trainers. At one point, he announced that he needed someone to answer his phone for him because it was his wife, who he said was in the hospital after a fall but he was too busy to answer her. His assistant wasn't around so he handed the phone to one of our managers, a woman of course. During a meeting where we were expressing our concerns of the changes put in place, the COO was very defensive and did not listen to us properly. At one point, it was even raised that we'd like him to be careful with how he was speaking to us as it was edging on gaslighting. To which our COO replied "I didn't gaslight you, I'm sorry to hear you misunderstood what happened"........ These people want to get involved with their CX team and believe they understand what it's like to be us. But they actually frighten me with their views and how they handle situations which directly affect their staff's lives.
