Pros

Truly the people. There are some really amazing and really passionate folks here. Had it not been for their genuine kindness, I doubt that this business would still exist.

Cons

There’s never a “great” day to learn that your personal information has been sent to someone other than you, but, two days before a major event that your company sponsored (one in which you volunteered to work at) isn't great timing. Nor is it “fun” to get a 4pm phone call (the next day) in which your company tells you that “something is wrong with your payroll,” and that unfortunately, you’ll be $1000 short due to issues around PTO. Oh, great. Let’s also add a d3seased family member into the mix. I bet this will all get straightened out in a timely and respectful manner right? Nope! I love knowing that my personal information was shared without my consent! I love waiting over a week to get a response to an “urgent” PTO mistake! I love knowing that both of these things happened, and the person responsible will not be held accountable for their actions! YAY! I think that by ignoring some of the glaring red flags that this company displayed was probably one of my most shameful and stupid decisions that I’ve made in my life. You know it’s bad when you hear that people are getting f!red at a different branch three weeks after you started. You know it’s bad when a senior member of a team quiet quits and never comes back even after 5 years with the company (during my first few weeks with the company // they supposedly went on vacation, then they got c0vid, then they never came back….). Or when another supposedly tenured member leaves, but no one can put a name to a face (they had also been there for 5 years). You know it’s time to leave when you hear that a former team member was berated/made to cry at work (several times!) due to the volatility that a specific person displayed. Hearing co-workers say that they “would have done something,” had the verbal abuse gone on longer… (because EVERYONE in the office could hear it) but then chose to stay silent should be a warning sign to all who think about working here. No one is going to stand up for you. Good luck to you, and know that past GD reviews are 100% correct. Please utilize the L!nkedIn feature that allows you to find past employees of this company (look for Y0utube tutorials on this) and message them before accepting an offer here. I truly wish I had done that, as I remember looking at several profiles of past folks and thinking… “the GD reviews are old, I bet it’s not that bad.” LOL I was so naive at not reaching out. One of the people who had to deal with a lot of h0m0phobia and verbal abuse was actually one of the people I debated messaging. I’m sure that had I messaged them, they would have saved me 3 months of h3ll, and I’d be working at the other job I was offered. Please know that though you are required to be onsite for almost all of your work week, the office is very very small and you'll enjoy hearing the sounds of your co-worker's bathroom visits :) I repeatedly asked to be remote, because I have never been in an office so small, and with such poor insulation but was told no. So, keep that in mind (and ask for a tour) before saying yes to this "lovely" place.
