Pros
The way in which folks interact with each other makes the culture feel kinder and gentler than most. The company has been growing leaps and bounds but management seems to continue to support a feeling of "family" which makes for a nice work environment. There are so many new hires. Perhaps the combination of their enthusiasm and new ideas will be enough to put the processes in place that DAT lacks. However, it will only work if those long-tenured employees are willing to look at the business through new lenses.
Cons
There has been a revolving door of people coming and going which has resulted in a clash of new people with new ideas and new ways of looking at the business with folks that have been around for 10+ years and not open to new ideas. Processes are lacking so it feels like the company is in constant paralysis when it comes to launching new products. Although a technology company, DAT relies on antiquated systems and a lot of manual processes. In regards to comments about not being progressive, there is zero effort in support of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts. Company has been very aggressive in getting folks back into the office (as a result a lot of folks left opting for more flexibility to work remotely) and the number of paid holidays given off is pathetic (name me a company that doesn't give the day after Thanksgiving off?!) DAT is riding on the success of their load board business but if that ever declines, not sure what else they have to fall back on.
