Pros
- Managing Director is understanding and generous. Overall a great person to work for. Genuinely cares for his employees.
- Local projects galore. If you wish to take PPE, this is the place to be.
- Company adopts "Premium Fridays", the last friday of each month where staff can leave after 3pm.
- Company used to have annual dinner with generous lucky draw giveaways. Annual dinner was a spectacle to look forward to.
- Office is squeaky clean, modern and new. Open concept office to encourage communication.
- Very pro-Revit / BIM environment. Good for staff who know how to use Revit.
Cons
- If you click well with everyone, good for you!If not, you are left by yourself.
- Colleagues can be quite cold. Hard to warm up to. After a while everyone becomes chilly.. seems like the overall vibe with the firm. Most of the time its not very convenient to ask for advice.
- Working with different directors depends on chemistry. Some you may work well, some not so much. This is understandable since it all depends on whether you can click with them.
- Most of the projects here are not design driven. There are no pin ups, no study models. Architectural library is non-existent. Most clients with DCA only care about areas and efficiency. Difficult to put across design ideas unless you fall into the right group of people.
