Pros
Benefits are good and pay is decent
Cons
I thought this would be a nice stable job, but it quickly turned into the opposite. I should’ve noticed the red flag when one of the managers stated that they had no clue about dental technology themselves in the interview... Management has no experience whatsoever about the industry, nor how to hire the proper talent, which made our jobs very difficult. We were constantly stressing to keep our customers happy. Management demands entirely too much on employees to meet certain quotas by the end of each day that are impossible, which kept us there overtime to catch up (then, of course, we get scolded at for staying overtime). Management has their own clique of favorites. They constantly gossip about other employees with co-workers, and will make rude comments to employees in front of the staff, which is very unprofessional. They are not very helpful nor are they available on the floor to aid you on urgent issues; and when they are available, they do not want to speak or ‘deal’ with the customer or issue and delegate the task to someone else. I was very proud of the work I did and what I contributed to team, but it all felt to go unnoticed. I couldn’t take another day of going into work never knowing if management was going to be in one of their “moods,” followed by constant berating of the employees and stating that we aren’t doing enough when we physically couldn’t while understaffed on top of the petty email blasts exposing everyone’s stats at an attempt to shame employees. This took a toll on me mentally and physically. Honestly, I’m just disappointed, especially since we moved our entire lives down here for this. This was definitely an eye-opening experience. I wish the rest the best of luck.
