Pros

salary is in the market level (it goes lower for many positions since recent years) full home office (it will be mandatory to work from office 2 days per week for everyone very soon)

Cons

- There is nothing called as internal career opportunity. This is the biggest fake presentation how company presents itself to the employees. If you decide to change your team, you must know the manager of the position you applied for from another project closely or with a relation of another person. If this is not a case and if the manager you applied for will not be behind you to hire you, your current manager will block your transfer immediately and you will be replied as unsuccessful candidate. I even dont mention the bloody conversation your manager will do with you since you try to leave the team. You should understand very well that this is not a global company where you can get transferred any suitable place if someone selects you. You are simply locked in your team. You can go out of DHL or start to get closer to the manager that you want to work with if you look for a change. If you see someone promoted or changing his team, rather than thinking directly "company is rewarding people. You might also get promoted in the future. Such a cool place!", try to learn the reasons behind how this was done. I can tell that there are several managers who doesnt block such changes but their ratio is too low. - There is no performance evaluation. Within the same team someone might be from the same country with a manager or might be smiling to everything since he is not technically proficient and with the first opportunity such people will be promoted for the technical positions. And before the promotion the managers will start to collect small projects that person did and inform the higher managers about those projects with exaggerated stories as "achievement". So you can do something on a daily basis but if the person who wanted to be promoted does the same, his name will be given to the directors and vice presidents and his name will be announced everywhere so that the company will create its own reasons for those unfair promotions. - I worked multiple companies so far and the most rude managers I have ever seen work in this company. They can try to degrade you with ugly jokes or they can constantly blame you with non-existing problems and once you explain the reality they will say "ahh,,, haa... okay okay" and disappear. If this happens every week a couple of times, you will understand how hard to work with such problematic people. - Company constantly sends you e-mails and trainings about DHL Code of Conduct which is a set of rules explaining how a DHL employee must behave to not make the company a toxic environment. Those rules are valid for you poor employees only. The managers will never hesitate to shout at you or behave as I wrote above. You can complain about it to anywhere, you wont get any result. - And the biggest minus point goes to Tobias Meyer who is the CEO of the company. Because all the non-senses above started to happen after he became CEO. The company simply lost its connection with the employees and managers turned the company into a Game of Thrones scene.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about your experience at our Orlando site. We’re glad to read that you valued the salary, the 4x10 shift structure, and especially the relationships with your peers. At the same time, we regret the challenges you described related to senior management behavior, HR involvement, and consistency in people practices. A respectful, professional work environment where policies are applied fairly and leaders act with accountability is fundamental to our culture, and it’s clear there are areas where continued improvement is needed. To clarify, participation in company supported charitable or donation initiatives is strictly voluntary. Employees are not expected or required to contribute, and any perception of pressure is not aligned with our policies or expectations. If these initiatives were experienced differently, we would take that feedback seriously and see it as an opportunity to reflect on how our communications and practices are perceived. While we are sorry to learn that the overall culture did not meet your expectations, we appreciate you clearly outlining your concerns. Feedback like this plays an important role in ongoing reflection and improvement. Thank you for the contributions you made during your time with DHL. We wish you all the best moving forward. Best regards, Your DHL Team
