Pros
You'll get a lot of exp very fast if you want it. If you don't want to get exp, then don't go to dish...its best for a person looking to break i to a new field either someone out of college or someone who wants to switch from let's say operations to marketing.
Cons
This is all gonna sound like im a disgruntled employee, but i spent almost 5 years at dish and was happy i think most of the time. In hindsight i should have left sooner.. Here goes... People are generally unhappy in corporate. They try to be happy and are all generally good people. But culturally its a bit backwards due to Charlie's presence. You don't matter. Charlie does. If he's got an opinion it's not likely you're gonna change that old man's mind no matter what the evidence to contrary is. That leads to some questionable strategies.... If you want to climb -espeically to director- your results don't matter. Your time in the seat and your demonstrated loyalty to the company do. You can't be a total screw-up, but you can be a notch above that and do just fine if you jump on Charlie projects quick enough and act like dish and cpaw is amazing. Some policies honestly seem like they are created to frustrated people. I'm not sure if that's by design, its kinda sick that it may be, but Charlie is pretty anti social dude.
