Pros
You will definately get opportunities to work on projects whether you want to or not
Cons
Projects are not run very well at all at Dish. There are no standards for anything there. And don't get me started on the offshore population (a company Charlie owns) that somehow never get fired when the rest of us are fired (ie, January '10, 80 people in IT). And Chuck has the nerve to come out a few weeks later and says there's never any layoffs. People get fired there all the time and people get promoted overnight because they are drinking buddies or workout buddies. The VPs in IT are definately a curious mix. How can you have someone in that position who knows so little about Operations? It really is amazing what comes out of the mouths of management. Very unprofessional.
