Pros

Some really nice hardworking people Flexible work environment

Cons

They are more focused on consuming solutions from the outside instead of managing it internally, so they no longer have a need for most in house IT infrastructure personnel. They have gone through multiple rounds of lay-offs for IT people, force the people who are left to pick up the pieces with little to no compensation increase, and yet they keep multiple layers of useless management. Very little training opportunities to advance your skills. Management plays favorites and it is very clear if you are not one of them. Partners and upper management (including IT management) have a reputation of being difficult/rude to workers.

Pros

- Excellent pay and benefits - Flexibility with the hybrid schedule (depending on your practice group) - Easy to build community with other assistants and paralegals

Cons

- Easy to fall into burnout due to understaffing in assistant/paralegal positions - Be prepared for an unexpectedly higher or lower workload at any point. - D.C. location is particularly strict about the hybrid expectations - A bit disorganized as a whole when it comes to onboarding and training for your particular practice group.
