Pros

- Flexible Timings - Hybrid Working Environment - Complex Projects - Interest Free Healthcare

Cons

- Micromanagement - Less than average salaries - Not much benefits - Sells growth plans which are never implemented - Arrogant management - Months of delays in yearly appraisal - Penny appraisals - Discrimination, the employees who show-off more are celebrated instead of the ones that actually work hard - Politics by the POs - Encourage feedbacks but uses these feedbacks against employees - Has implanted systems by which one has to "earn" the benefits through some weird point system - No outdoor recreational activities, only does one trip a year - A single individual is required to put in a tremendous amount of work - No promotions, People are hardly promoted. Most of the people who had promotions are either the ones who have spent 5+ years at the company and have no competence or the people who are good at talking

DPL Response

Thank you so much for your feedback. This is one thing we honestly try our best to work on to ensure that DPL remains a people-centric space. Some of the cons you mentioned on the list are aspects that we are trying our hardest to work on. Change usually comes with a lot of mistakes and requires time. So, we're glad for the people who stuck by us and continue helping us move forth. And it's these people who are now growing splendidly with the help of OD's growth plans. However, there are certain aspects that we beg to differ about. Discrimination is one thing we don't tolerate at DPL and have terminated individuals cause of it. Hard-working employees' work speaks for itself and is reported through constant feedback as well as annual reviews. This is how they earn the benefits DPL has to offer. The 'system' you mentioned is for additional perks that most employers don't offer and are used to incentivize Rebels to go beyond the call of duty to help promote culture, expand their knowledge, etc. As a people-centric company, we also provide our teams with different opportunities to bond and take breaks. The annual trip you mentioned is one, but we do have monthly indoor activities, an annual dinner, and even a sports event. The latter isn't including the activities conducted by the different clubs/circles in DPL and funded by the company.
