Pros
Easy work. Moving cars and trucks around. Mostly new cars as well as rental box trucks. Flexible as you can work or not whenever you want. Nice job if you like traveling. Some trips pay very well for the amount of work involved. If you get on a van crew (10+ guys that do trips together with a company-paid rental van) generally it's a tight-knit group of guys that looks out for each other.
Cons
They play favorites and give the better paying trips to some drivers and not others. A trip can be unfilled yet they won't give it to you unless you're one of their preferred guys. Some of the trips are woefully underpaid for the time commitment involved. Especially personal chase jobs where they expect you to use your own car. Sometimes they keep trying to get personal chasers even when I tell them the job is way underpaid and no one's going to take it for the low-ball money being offered. Area managers aren't always from your area. Because of that sometimes they structure the trips in ways that don't make sense for either the driver or the company. Example...Drive your own car unpaid 50 miles south, take an Uber right back to your home area, then do a 5 mile trip in your home area, then take an Uber 50 miles back south to their arbitrary starting point.
