Pros
The people you meet are by far the best part of the job along with the delicious food. Your day to day work load is never the same and is always busy. It's a hybrid job, half office/half restaurant so I enjoy that I am never stuck in one place. I had an excellent opportunity to grow into my sales position and for that I am so thankful. I learned all sides of the restaurant, being able to support in operations, learn sales and marketing tools, brand management, and contribute new ideas to the company. The location of the corporate office is unbeatable in Downtown Dallas along with restaurant locations being extremely well thought out and beautifully designed. I'm an extremely detail oriented and self motivated person, so working independently and with a team is definitely a plus. This position launched my sales career and has pushed me to grow into a better person, both professionally and personally.
Cons
If you are not used to restaurant hours you may view the hours you work as long. Depending on the events you hold, you may be expected to work anywhere from 12-14 hours if necessary.
No news is good news. Don't expect to get a pat on the back every time you do something. You need to be extremely self motivated to thrive in this company.
Direction and communication is not always clear, BUT if you take initiative in asking you will get an answer.
Your starting pay will most likely be low. They expect you to show your worth before handing over the big bucks.
